Tom Corkett Forty years at Ardell has made Tom particularly knowledgeable in ocean going sail and power yachts ranging in size from 30' to 200'. Having grown up in Newport Beach, California where his family had a number of sail and power boats, Tom was fortunate to have participated in many offshore blue water yacht races which include 14 Transpac races to Hawaii, one Tahiti Race and numerous other races and cruises to Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean. His sailing accomplishments include overall winner of the 1963 Transpac Yacht Race from Los Angeles to Hawaii, Class winner of the 1992 Double Handed Race to Hawaii aboard a Nelson Marek 70' ultralight. Tom personally owns a 65' William Garden pilothouse motoryacht on which he and his family have cruised extensively in local waters, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest.
